London producer Eric Lau drops his latest super dope EP via Kilawatt Music.

The Mission, a 7-track special, sees him team up with Detroit and Stones Throw emcee Guilty Simpson and Beatnik favourite Fatima. You can get it as the digital download, as well as a 15-track vinyl edition, which also features the instrumentals as well as contributions by Damu The Fudgemunk and Chris “Daddy” Dave.

To celebrate his 6th year anniversary, Feelin’ Music drop this nice free tribute to J Dilla.

To promote Paper Tigers’ ‘Illuminated EP’ dropping on 27th February via Mind on Fire Records, the Leeds collective are giving away this very lovely download for free.

We stumbled across this gem of an artist from Oakland, CA and we quickly fell in love.

Soulful and gripping, her gentle but weathered voice creates a calm we’re not quite use to. Her music has a wide mix of acoustic, folk, soul and hip hop influences with hints of rare groove and funk, making for this exceptional debut EP — From Her Eyes.

As rumoured, Homeboy Sandman, who we interviewed last year, has signed to the reputed indie label Stones Throw. New York Nights is the first sample from the champion of melodic flows. EP out in January.

We also reviewed Homeboy Sandman’s 2010 album The Good Sun.

Washington DC’s Damu the Fudgemunk releases a 7-inch called Faster Rhyme for Self. Get it at Redefinition Records.

LuckyMe, the Glasgow label that’s home to Mike Slott and other electronic music wizards, has a nice advent calendar going in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Yesterday’s download was this track by Hudson Mohawke and Nadsroic from the latter’s EP Room Mist. Head here for more treats.

Electronic wizard Two Inch Punch dropped ‘Luv Luv’ a while ago. Initially only as white label 12″, he recently made it available as a free download (via player below).

New producer Alecks Auclair is someone we really feel you should check out. Having previous posted his Senzu mixtape, we were immediately converted to his music.

Music crafted from a love for chilled hip hop and minimal electronic touches – his sound stirs towards thought provoking and blissful  landscapes.

Now he has just released his Leaving EP for download (here), and best yet you can name your price. So potentially its free, but if you’re a fan we recommend you support this aspiring cinematic talent.

Having blogged about his brilliant single and video ‘City Lights’ we thought we’d remind people of exciting new talent ItsNate.

Recently gaining recognition from Giles Peterson as someone to keep you’re eye on, ItsNate (along with Piff Gang) is representing a new energised wave of British hip hop. One with chilled flows and beats but unique homegrown swag.

Download his brilliant mixtape, and be sure to check gems ‘Tower Blocks’, ‘Slondon’ and ‘City Lights’.

2010′s Brainfeeder debutant Teebs, who we interviewed last year, is putting out a new project called Collections 101 on 8 November; not exactly an album, but far from a mixtape, it would seem.

“The vibe I want people to be sent off with is a feeling of going out and buying some kind of rare library record they always wanted and not a ‘new album/EP’.”

Stones Throw just dropped a joint off MED’s album Classic, which we reviewed not long ago. Produced by Madlib and featuring Steve Arrington.

Piff Gang are our new guilty pleasure.

They’re taking you back to those days when hip hop crews ruled. Those golden days when connects like Ruff Riders and Wu-Tang and earlier RUN DMC, where king. A sense of hip hop community that has been lost in the solo cut throat aspiration of rappers today.

What’s more, Piff Gang have an addictive laid back style. A london crew, their beats nurture an oldskool hip hop flavour, while their spitting goes further incorporating electronic influences like garage and grime. As a result this is a unique first mixtape showing something very special is brewing.
