Known as the John Coltrane of Hip-Hop, DJ Vadim releases his new magnificent musical gem U CAN’T LURN IMAGINASHUN. A 18 track album that delves into the mind of a Russian beat genius, with signature Reggae and electro influences simultaneously working perfectly throughout, it’s a project that is chill-full yet uplifting and in parts funky and infectious.

When you consider that 2008 was the ‘darkest moment’ in Vadim’s life coping with diagnosed eye cancer and the possibility of losing his left eye, it’s astonishing such a quality release has seen the light of day. But thankfully, after a ‘precarious operation’ a happy, healthy and inspiring Vadim has resumed to touring and by the sounding of his trickery doing what he does best.

Tracks that really jump out include laidback guitar inspired ‘Soldier’, the instrumental goodness of ‘Game tight’ which beautifully samples ‘Nadia’s Theme’ also used by a certain Miss J Blige’s ‘No More Drama’ and the bouncy soulful ‘Hidden Treasure’.
