Today we bring you a track from Little Brother, the acclaimed North Carolina hphop group that beatmaker 9th Wonder left in 2007, landing a crucial blow to their confidence and chemistry. ‘24‘ features Torae and rounds off their fourth and final album Leftback.

I am personally full of admiration for the group, but honestly, they have been as great as their strongest link for a while. Producer, emcee and singer Phonte holds most things down. Including a pounding 24 bar verse.

When I roll through the boroughs they say Phonte home
When I spit that hard shit they say that Phonte wrong
Sang a hook, they be like “ooh, that’s Phonte’s song”
24 bars, it’s over n*gga, Phone gone
Like uh-oh-oh…
