Today, we travel to Brooklyn, NY, to see what drummer Daru Jones has cooking for us. He’s been releasing herds of interesting projects via his Bandcamp page since December last year, and this one is no different.
‘From Then 2 Now‘ is from his J Dilla tribute Spirit Dilla “Rusic”, released in February of this year. The song is a dope medley of D’Angelo, Kim Burrell, Montrell Darrett and Ty & Kory, all served on a J Dilla bed interpreted masterfully by Daru himself.
